Vintage tear drop form Lapis Lazuli and sterling silver Mexican ring, size 8
Two teardrops of ocean blue lapis, each about 13.5mm x 8.5mm, are set into deep dish bezels of polished silver. A delicate forked band of silver completes the ring.
Lovely seashore color matrix, like a white sand beach in one stone. The other is contrasting deep blue and light blue.
Fully hallmarked inside the band, with "Mexico 925 Sterling" and the maker's 3 initials (possibly EUM?) as well as the unusual placement of a #3 eagle mark on the outside back of the band likely dates this piece to the 1950s or 1960s. A lovely entry-level piece to true vintage Mexican lapis.
