DESCRIPTION:
Carlos designed this very 3 dimensional Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe that stands graceful,with her hands in prayer,looking down with passion & humility..Below her, is the angel that supports her,testifying to her royalty..She has a luminous sterling glowing light,that is reminiscent of the woman"who is clothed with the sun"
Round calibrated  turquoise cabochons follow her glow & help to highlight her & act a 'double glow'..
He made these to be adjusted by the buyer,to fit close to where they are presently sized.(8 ) by leaving the shank unsoldered on one side.The shank is a wider style & measures 1/4" wide..
Made by one who lives & breathes his Oaxaca,Mexican roots!

Carlos gives all his appreciation for the skill he has to his father, who taught the young Carlos & is a 'master" jeweler himself,(The Dad  is featured in the book of "Oaxaca Masters") The father taught all his children,but Carlos was the only one who took to it & got to be so good at such a young age,he was then able to support all of his family just from the art of jewelry making at the young age of 15 & is now 54..
If his Father walked by & didn't like what he was seeing,he would throw it on the floor,stomp on it & would say"Now do it over"!!  This is how he learned.
He has grown to be a "master' jeweler himself & this is also why designers like Federico use Carlos, when he needs "quality" filigree jewelry for his line of Oaxaca/Dove jewelry..
